“We had a lot of fun cooking up ideas for DEAD TEENAGERS variant covers,” said Caitlyn Yarsky. “The ones I’m doing are homages to popular teen horror/thrillers and other big movies from 90’s—we wanted to invoke the camp and nostalgia of that era. At the same time, these covers highlight some of the more toxic messages and imagery Gen X and millennial kids grew up with, which ties in thematically to the comic.”
“Variant covers are always the most fun part of a release — it's great to see so many different artists interpret the script at once, and to see it through their eyes,” said Jude Ellison S. Doyle. “Everyone brought their A-game here: Gore, '90s deep cuts, 'Sassy' magazine covers, you name it. The whole range of terror and goofiness is on display."
