PLAGUE HOUSE TP (ONI PRESS) $19.99

(W) Michael W. Conrad (A/CA) Dave Chisholm

I don't know much about this series but the creative team is a big sell for me. Check it out at your LCS.

From the Solicits:

HOUSES AREN'T THE ONLY THING THAT ARE HAUNTED. . . . Architect of terror Michael W. Conrad (Wonder Woman, In Bloom) and Ringo Award winner Dave Chisholm (Miles Davis and the Search for the Sound) launch a deep and disturbing excursion into 21st-century horror . . . Thirteen years ago, Orin McCabe was a family man living a privileged life in the California suburbs. Today, he's condemned to death row for murdering his entire family in an unexpected fit of hammer-wielding brutality. In the aftermath of his heinous crime, it's fallen to a trio of eclectic but dedicated ghost hunters—Jacob, the holy man; Holland, the skeptic; and their leader, Del, a true believer in the occult and worlds beyond—to surveil the abandoned McCabe home in search of proof for the existence of the undead . . . and whatever supernatural source may have possibly fueled McCabe’s inhuman massacre. But this ill-matched and uneasy squad of investigators is about to discover something much more terrifying than any ordinary spirit. . . . Collects Plague House #1–4.

VANISHING POINT TP (MAD CAVE STUDIOS) $19.99

(W) Mark Russell (A) Juan Doe, Ryan Alexander Tanner, Alberto Ponticelli, Jok (CA) Juan Doe

Issue 1 was one of the best sci-fi stories I've ever read. I'm glad its being collected with the other 5 issues.

From the Solicits:

SIX EXTRAORDINARY JOURNEYS...INTO THE UNKNOWN! From the minds of Eisner Award-winning writer Mark Russell and artist Ryan Alexander-Tanner, Vanishing Point is where sci-fi meets existential dread. These short stories don't end with a twist—they begin there. Each revelation cracks open something deeper, asking the questions we try not to face… what does it mean to be alive? In Screams, a seasoned mining ship captain embarks on a ten-year solo mission to space where he makes a horrifying discovery. The Tomorrow Family is a dark reimagining of the cartoon family of tomorrow, living in a future that might have been. In Cell Structure, a floating research station performs horrifying experiments on alien prisoners to discover the common elements all living things. In Proof of Life, a robot is put on trial for the ultimate offense of being alive. In Grave Remedies, a futuristic health clinic keeps patients alive against their will. But why? And in The Mission, a genocidal visitor arrives on Earth with a mission of mass extermination and a secret that could change everything. This volume collects all six issues of the critically-acclaimed series.
