Review

The story starts on Halloween night in Cravenwood, IN in 1987. Its a typical halloween, lots of kids with their parents. One small boy rings a doorbell and that is where the story goes off the rails. Each page keeps you guessing on what is going to happen next and each page ups the last one. It a great story that you will want to re-read once you're done.

The art (lines and colors) are really great. Its a very clean style and the colors hit the mood perfectly. The monster designs are really top notch. I know its probably going to creep back in my mind at bedtime. See the preview pages below.

This is a book you should back. J. Michael and crew are really putting together good portfolio of horror books. Check out the Kickstarter link below the preview pages.

One Good Scare will make you question what you see and forget about your hunger for other comics!”

One Good Scare is a love letter to Midwest Halloween nights for those who grew up in or appreciate the VHS-era of horror. The panels are packed with clever Easter eggs, small-town autumnal vibes, and subtle winks to some of horror's greatest hits.”
