Welcome to Comic Book Yeti!
I am your host, Jake West from Comics Academy!
This is a new monthly ongoing series I created to help more people order books, especially when they are still available to be ordered by your local comic store, instead of hoping that they will have what you want in stock. This is a list of currently pre-orderable titles you can find in Previews either online or from their monthly catalog. The best way to help support stores and creators is to preorder your books by adding them to what comics nerds call a "pull list"! Ask a person at your local comics shop to get one set up.
I thought this would be better than doing a pull list every week because I already post photos of my weekly comics haul on Instagram and Twitter (@ComicsAcademyX). I also think it will help people to find books they will like. There are plenty of Image, Boom Studios, IDW, Vault Comics and other Independent press represented on this list! We will also be doing weekly lists for the top Marvel and DC Comics to order, as well as the best Kickstarters to back, and even new manga every month. There’s a list for any comics reader!
If you want to order any of these titles, you can use the link in each entry for that issue and its previous issues and volumes! You should still be able to find the trade paperbacks that lead up to the current issue quite easily if the original issues are out of print. Or, you can always check your local comic shop or ask them to order the previous issues as well by using the diamond codes on the Previews website. You can also find most, if not all, of these titles for sale online or digitally.
Full Disclosure: Each entry on the list was decided by my own personal tastes. The "New Readers" descriptions were taken directly from their first issue or trade paperback, so there are no story spoilers. The "Returning Readers" descriptions were taken from the current issue for people who have already read up to the current issues and want to stay up-to-date.
If you find this list in the far future, don’t despair! You can still most likely find all of these titles in trade paperbacks or digitally. And they won’t stop being great reads – that’s for sure.
