KaPow! Some karate chopping action to kick off another exciting month of picking cool comics from all the comic catalogs out there. Did you know there is one less now? TIL. Anyyyyywayyyyys, us (Luis and Doug) sitting outside the Yeti Cave (still tm I think) have worked the ropes tirelessly to procure the best of the best from deep in the caves for this month.

Come with along with us as we do our best to find the most exciting titles being offered in your local comic shops. We hope these will excite you enough to search out further books being offered and most of all encourage you to consider pre-ordering.

You see, the reader can pop into any shop and pick up a comic book, no fuss no muss, but for maximum impact of the series health and for the benefit of the creators, pre-ordering the books would be the best. To best help creators, we will bring to you our individual top 5--top 10-- NO, our TOP 7 list of favorite announced books for the month. In hopes you too will join us in pre-ordering from your Local Comic Shop! (LCS)

Things are a little disjointed in comics ordering right now. There are two places one can order from: Lunar or Random Penguin. We include the catalog and the order codes to help you out. If any of these catches your fancy take the codes to your LCS and they will make sure you get set up!

GOLDEN PICK OF THE MONTH!

Luis and Doug both went through the catalog independently and one comic was chosen more than once. Big-Ass Sword spoke something special to their fire-y hearts. The colors, the art preview and a big-ass sword wielder was enough to place this in the Golden Pick of the month!

LUIS' PICKS

Another great month of Comics is upon us. There’s Thundercats, Superpowers, Wisecracks and Big-Ass swords for November. Take a look at my recommendations for things I like, that you might also like.

1. Thundercats: Panthro #1 (Dynamite) $5.99 Pre-Order Code: 0925DE0684

   I’m a big Thundercats fan and when my favorite Thundercat gets his own issue and has a variant cover by one of my favorite artists (Bob Quinn) I have to get this.

   

2. Colossal Kaya One-Shot (Image) $4.99 Pre-Order Code: 0925IM0279

   1. $4.99 for all this talent on a creator-owned book is an easy pick.

      

3. The Power Fantasy #13 (Image) $3.99 Pre-Order Code: 0925IM0381

   One of the best books on the stands continues to be a favorite of mine. Major stories come to a head here.

   

4. Radiant Black #39 (Image) $3.99 Pre-Order Code: 0925IM0383

   1. The best superhero book in indie comics. Been a fan since day 1 and its still firing on all cylinders.

      

5. Black Heart Billy 25th Anniversary HC (Image) $29.99 Pre-Order Code: 0925IM0438

   If you loved Deadpool during the 1st Uncanny X-Force run, you’ll love Black Heart Billy. Remender has said (I think) that when he was writing Deadpool he was really thinking of Billy. (sorry Wade, Billy is a better Deadpool).

   

6. Dead Head #1 (Iron Age Comics) $4.99 Pre-Order Code: 0925MP0822

   The comics says it’s John Wick meets Jason Voorhees, sounds like a great time.

DOUG'S PICKS

Another month and another month of bottom billing. Why do I never take the time to find my contract? This is unheard of. Well, I will still present to you some fancy picks. Why fancy? Cause I got fancy tastes, duh.

1. Cave Grave (Oni Press) $29.99 Pre-Order Code: 0925ON0870

   Cave Grave sounds like it has everything: wild west, double crosses, bounty hunters, heists, gorgeous art, and that equals a whole lot of kicking ass comic!

   

2. Abuzz (Mad Cave) $14.99 Pre-Order Code: 0925MA0773

   Amy Chase and Stelladia are doing their version of Much Ado About Nothing. I trust this team to take the base story and make it sing in this reimaging.

   

3. Die Loaded #1 (Image) $3.99 Pre-Order Code: 0925IM0266

   I thoroughly enjoyed the first Die series and am eager to see where this new story is heading.

   

4. Batman/Static: Beyond #1 (DC) $4.99 Pre-Order Code: 0925DC0184

   As a nerd of a certain age, the Batman Beyond and Static Shock cartoons were everything to me. I am happy to see them pair again and the creative team just screams winner.

   

5. Circus Maximus #1 (Mad Cave) $4.99 Pre-Order Code: 0925MA0776

   This was a book that hooked me with the cover. Yes, I will want to read about Rome and the goings on at the Circus Maximus. Thank you!

   

6. Faster (Bulgilhan Press) $20.00 Pre-Order Code: 0925BP0517

   Any comic by Jesse Lonergan is can't miss in my playbook. And that is why I have been kicking myself ever since I missed the Kickstarter campaign for the book. Well now it's time to fix my shame and grab one of these impressively crafted books.
