Rolling Squid Bones and comics that drag you under

Updated: 1 hour ago

A new publisher is debuting in Indie Comics, focusing on supporting new creators and delivering original content. Rolling Squid Bones, founded by Chad Perkins, has officially launched and aims to make it easier for readers and retailers to find fresh voices in comics.

“I really hope RSB can become that little gem of a book you find in shops!” - Chad Perkins, Founder

Alongside Perkins, a new team has been formed to help RSB with its vision - supporting diverse creators, clear communication, and building lasting relationships within the community. The team behind Rolling Squid Bones is as follows:

  • Wesley Gift: Editor in Chief

  • Blake Mathias: Associate Publisher

  • David Doub: Distribution

  • Laurie Calcaterra: Quality Control & Queen of Hot Sauce

  • Sabrina Clark: Social Media

“I am immensely excited to step into this role at Rolling Squid Bones. Our incredible team is all about showcasing the weird and fun side of comics, and we’ve got several titles to drop this year to further support the indie comic space. Check us out!” - Wesley Gift, Editor in Chief

There are currently four titles offered through Ingram Content Group, Amazon, Barnes and Nobles and are being distributed by Comics Mainstream.

  • Age of Yokai: Japanese myth and action in a dramatic samurai tale.

  • Mystery Masque: A modern take on a golden age vigilante hero

  • Path of the Pale Rider: A post-apocalyptic story where death has changed and nothing is as it seems.

  • The Trials and Tribulations of Miss Tilney: A Victorian mystery series full of unexpected twists.
