This week I have launched a comic! Always fun figuring out how these things work as the landscape of comics can shift so quickly. Anyways, I am once again, Doug Wood. If you have some extra cash that week and want to support some creators, this will be a great way to help make comics a reality for a lot of newer or even experienced pros right now.
Additionally, I will be shouting out comics that are in the pre-launch phase on their platforms. Pre-launch is a huge period for creators. Not only does it show initial interest in the campaign, but it also allows the crowdfunding platform to identify campaigns that they will want to spotlight come time for launch. That is huge for campaigns as the algorithms can make it hard to find fresh books. If you have any interest in a book, please consider clicking to be notified of launch. Even if you don't have money at the time of launch, it helps enormously!
CAMPAIGNS LIVE NOW!

We kick off with me this week! I have launch UltraMax volumes 1 & 2. These crime graphic novles are set in a prison for supervillains. Volume one features art by Michael Pickard and is a story about a henchman that has pulled off the impossible...he has killed the world's most famous hero. Now while everyone is wanted a shot on him to make a name for themselves, he also has to try to make sure that it does not get out he is a snitch for the feds.

Volume 2 is new to this campaign and has art by Vinicius Carreiro. A former superhero finds himself locked up and desperate for drugs. The only way the inmates are willing to sell is if he takes out his former friend sitting on death row!
I'm not going to lie, this campaign is off to a rocky start. I'd love to make a turn around and you backing would make an enormous difference in making this book happen.

While we are on superheroes Midnight Tiger Evo is now live! When I was getting into making comics one of the first indie comics I feel in love with was the original Midnight Tiger series. Creator Ray-Anthony Height put so much passion and energy into those pages that really spoke to me.

You'll have to click on the campaign to see the preview pages, but Ray-Anthony's Midnight Tiger will be filled with tons of impressive cameos.
This campaign is off to a great start, but still has a way to make the goal.

Creator Azoinab has to be one of the most exciting newer artist I have followed in a while. While there are hints of artist like JRJR, there is a certain x-factor the younger artist brings to his pieces. When I saw Incorporated I knew this needed a spotlight.

Pushing for fans of Berserk and The Authority this comic is going to filling to the brim with interesting ideas. This campaign has just launched and doing very well.

Do you like Shoujo manga? Would you want it to be served a little darker or more mature themes. Well Kamthology is dishing it plenty. 70+ pages of gorgeously illustrated comics to melt (or crush) your heart with.

Creator Kamilah Wong is no stranger to crowdfunding as this is her 4th campaign! The campaign could use a little boost to make it to the finish line!

Sometimes an image can just speak to you and you have to know more. The Ecstasy of Jenny hooked me with the thumbnail but I was amazed by the art showcased inside the campaign. Polish illustrator Kamila Krol is incredibly accomplishing comic pages that I could spend hours looking at. Inspired by tales of dancing plagues and sisterhood Kamila hopes to tell a story of women rebelling and having help from a higher power.

This book could use some eyes as its aways off from its goal.

Lastly, we have an anthology for the cryptid lovers at Yeti dot com! Sightings features a globe spanning cast of creators telling 10 stories in this 60 page comic in the physical edition. With there being 15 stories and 88 pages in the digital version of the book.

At the time of writing the campaign is just past half of its goal. Time is running out to help this campaign!
COMING SOON

One of my favorite webcomics is returning to Kickstarter to collect issues 1 & 2 of Steamroller Man. Creator Matthew Schofield injects so much charm into the this comedic tale of a superhero. If you have never read this comic, I cannot recommend backing this campaign enough.
