(W/A) Drew Morrison Description: What is BROKENLAND?

A dialogue-free comic book series written, drawn and colored by Drew Morrison.

BROKENLAND is a comedic story of growth, change, and the growing waste problem. It takes place in a tough city populated by all manner of weirdos and centers around Meeso, a timid creature whose intentions often go overlooked. Meeso would like to do some good but isn't sure where to start. In this first issue, several events offer a path.

(W/A) Tom Manning Description: Bering Strait is a story of tribalism, ideology, and manifest destiny; about the beginning of America; about the true nature and lost history of humanity.

For most of our history, Homo sapiens walked the same land and competed for the same food with Neanderthals, Denisovans, and the three-foot-tall Homo floresiensis. It is widely believed we are the only humans to survive because we were the most clever. The most creative. The most adept. Perhaps the truth is more sinister.

This is a story told from the point of view of a Neanderthal tribe in Siberia who call themselves The Awake People. Their elder has received a vision that they have been chosen to inhabit a new land of bounty by following a herd of game East across the Bering Strait. But as they do so, the Awake People find they were not alone in receiving this message.

(W) Ryan Little (A/CA) Bruno Oliveira Description: Galaxy Quest meets Power Rangers. 20 years past their prime, the TV actors of Super Scouts have their chance to claim cosmic power!

Twenty years ago, they were the Super Scouts: A sensational team of super sentai warriors!!!!

Well, at least that's who they played on TV. Now, all these years later, the original cast of The Super Scouts all live the remnants of their former selves, trying to shrug off the shell of who they used to be.

  • Seth, the former Red Scout, runs a Super Scouts store and museum.

  • James, the Green Scout, has launched a successful series of adult parody films.

  • Willy, the Blue Scout, runs his own Church of Scoutology that is "definitely not a cult"

  • And no one has heard from Meredith, the Pink Scout, in years...

But everything changes when the Super Scouts creator rounds up the team to deliver a final message. It was all real. He is an alien who fled to Earth and made a fortunate passing off stories of his intergalactic battles as a TV Show.

Now his ancient adversary, Lord Darkness has awakened and unleashed his minions to collect the last of the Super Scout Powers. These former actors must now truly see if they can reclaim the powers, and the people they once were before Lord Darkness devours their world.

(W) Matthew Sardo (A/CA) Jamie Jones Description: The stars aligned when artist Jamie Jones moved across the street from writer Matthew Sardo. We were both looking to start a weekly comic strip and had similar ideas on what made a great strip. A fast-paced, action-packed book that left you on the edge of your seat, excited to turn the page. Tales of Monkeys Fighting Robots is a unique mashup of Jamie's love of the pulp stories of the '40s and '50s, and Matt's admiration of sci-fi/adventure cartoons of the '70s and '80s. A new strip comes out every Sunday, and you can read the whole series for free at monkeysfightingrobots.com.

The war between monkeys and robots has raged on for eons; these are the stories that have survived. The first issue quickly introduces the main characters and throws you right in the trenches of war from the perspective of the monkeys. You will meet the special ops team Element Zero, the rocket-jockeys, the rag-tag M-Crew, and Project BOBO.

Along her journey of self-discovery, she finds that she holds extraordinary abilities that could save the human race from extinction by the deadliest threat the world has ever seen: an invasion of a species from the beginning of the universe. A race that lives only for energy and will obtain it by any means necessary – the Shriekers. Amelia will face villains like no other, turning her from a shy, naive girl, into a calculated killing machine. She will stop at nothing to protect the friends and allies she meets along her journey.

(W) Mike Shea (A/CA) Ryan Mendoza Description: Five teens take on H.P. Lovecraft’s monsters and their small-town high school…They’re just not sure which is worse.

The small New England town of Miskatonic always seemed like a nice place to live. But as the leaves turn color and the nights grow longer, a group of students from Miskatonic High are going to learn that their universe is not what they think it is.

A cup of chills, a tablespoon of humor, and a pinch of real-life pathos make up the mixture for this new series from writer Mike Shea and artist Ryan Mendoza. Through the six-issue first season, Alex, Matt, Sarah, Simon and Ren will travel through time to come face to face with the Mad Arab Abdul Alhazred and his Necronomicon, descend into the darkest pits under the earth, and learn what is really going on in the public library when no one is looking.
